MyFeralKitten.com I have a kitten named Zen. I rescued her from outdoors as another cold Chicago winter was approaching. She was feral when I trapped her- wild and completely afraid of all humans. I work every day with her socialization, so that she can gradually become a happy house kitten. This site shows photos, tells stories, explains the difference between feral and stray, discusses animal ethics issues and also gives links to shelters and a national feral cat group.

The Elephant Sanctuary "The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee, is the nation's largest natural-habitat refuge developed specifically to meet the needs of endangered elephants. It is a non-profit organization, licensed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, designed specifically for old, sick or needy elephants who have been retired from zoos and circuses. Utilizing more than 2700 acres, it provides three separate and protected, natural habitat environments for Asian and African elephants. Our residents are not required to perform or entertain for the public; instead, they are encouraged to live like elephants." This is heartening that someone thought to create such an amazing place and that people support it through donation. The site has detailed information on individual elephants, photos and videos.

Save the Elephants This is a group that works to safeguard African elephants in their wild natural habitats. They individually monitor 900 elephants and use GPS monitors on 30 elephants. They help protect elephants from ivory poachers with aerial surveillance and radio tracking, in addition to doing research and grass roots education. It has plenty of photos of elephants in the wild plus videos and an in-depth links page for other elephant websites.

Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation Center They are a nonprofit "dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife with the goal of returning fully rehabilitated wildlife to its natural habitat." Their main facility is in Barrington, IL but they also have a "Northerly Island" facility in downtown Chicago, the only facility of its kind in downtown Chicago. Their website, including their blog is very informative no mater where you live. It is a donation or volunteer opportunity, as well as a place to know about should you seek emergency care for an injured wild animal such as a wild bird or bunny, etc. in the Chicago area.

www.DailyKitten.com All the cute kitten photos you could ever want, with a new one every day. They are good enough quality that you could use them as personal desktop images on your computer.

www.Dailypuppy.com Same idea as above, but with puppies. Instant mood elevator, and drug free.

www.BabyAnimalz.com Cute baby animal photos. All kinds. These too are good enough quality to use as personal desktop images for your computer. My favorite is baby sea turtles on their way to the sea.

YouTube Video of 2 Dwarf Bunnies This is a simple video of two dwarf bunnies, eating from their dwarf food dish.
